Beatles actors named in new rumor, Krysty Wilson Cairns is writing all 4 films… Remember how Sam Mendes is making 4 Beatles biopics, one about each band member? There might be a cast. Maybe. It’s rumor at this point, but industry insider Jeff Sneider is reporting that The Beatles films will star Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Charlie Rowe as George Harrison. So, all the up and coming British/Irish lads they could find! This cast certainly makes sense. As for Cairns, she has writing credits on 1917 and Last Night in Soho, both good movies. 🪲
New Hunger Games novel coming 2025, movie to follow in 2026… It’s another prequel, called Sunrise on the Reaping, and will take place 40 years after Songbirds and Snakes, but 25 years prior to The (og) Hunger Games. It’s going to tell the story of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell, in which Haymitch Abernathy, aka Katniss’s mentor — aka Woody Harrelson, was victorious. So it doesn’t seem like Tom Blythe and Rachel Zegler will be returning — which is surprising, because on would guess based on the last film’s success, Lionsgate would want a direct sequel. Anyway, who should play a young Haymitch/Woody? The Wrap has some ideas, including Austin Butler and Mike Faist. 🏹
