• WGA and the studios to resume negotiations next week… Let’s hope it goes better than the last few meetings. According to writer and showrunner Andy Greenwald on The Watch podcast, there has been some back channelling going on between the two parties and the current hold up is with the AMPTP getting on the same page internally. It’s good to see an announcement in the press that the WGA and the AMPTP will be talking, but I’m not much more optimistic about the situation based on how things have gone. Basically, nothing has happened until it happens. As a reminder, the studios and the actors have not met since before the SAG strike began. 🪧
