Yellowstone to end with season 5, McConaughey was in talks for sequel series… The hammer has dropped on cable’s biggest hit. Here’s what’s happening: The rest of the fifth and final season with Kevin Costner will air this November (so I guess Taylor Sheridan wrote or is able to write the scripts after all). Sheridan and much of the original Yellowstone cast (minus Costner) will then launch a new sequel series on the Paramount Network and Paramount+. That last part is a big deal because Peacock had the streaming rights to the OG Yellowstone, and now Paramount can bring it all under one umbrella. That’s a big win for Paramount+. And oh yeah, Matthew McConaughey was reportedly in talks to star in the sequel series, we’ll see if that pans out. 🤠
