• The Flash eyes $70M opening, Elemental looking at $35M… Not what you’d want to see from a top-line DC superhero and a new Pixar movie. Hopefully with 71% and 79% on RT respectively (as of Wednesday morning), strong word of mouth will give these movies a tail? Though I wouldn’t hold my breath. A Flash sequel, with Ezra Miller, is on the table, but according to The Wrap, this one will have to make north of $700M total to get a green light. I’m not sure it will. As for Pixar, while its movies are still good—I will stand by Onward and Lightyear—it’s sad to see the studio fall so far out of favor with audiences. ⚡️
