• NBC is already lining up advertisers for the 50th season of SNL… Which isn’t until fall 2024. A few things of note here: If they’re already courting advertisers, does that mean they have big plans for season 50? Just speculating here, but one way to outdo the 40th anniversary special could be to make every week a celebration with a parade of high profile guests. This would jive with Lorne Michaels saying post season 50 would be “a really good time to leave.” For now, I’m just wondering if season 49 happens on time, as it’s possible the writers will still be on strike this fall. 🗽
