Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace was the #2 movie in theaters this past weekend… I didn’t realize people were that interested in intergalactic trade and tax disputes. As well as Jar Jar Binks. Meanwhile, The Fall Guy hit number one, but it wasn’t much of a victory. The movie made $28.5 million, off a production budget of $130 million. The last time we saw that low of a number from the first weekend of May was in 2003 when The Lizzie McGuire Movie did just $17M. And adjusted for inflation it actually beat Fall Guy. Still, The Fall Guy was a good movie and deserved better, you can check out my review below. ✨
Vin Diesel is making a new Riddick movie… Reviving his character from Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick 20 years on. The former turned a small profit, while the latter just barely broke even.
