What to know

  • Critics throw superlatives at Avatar: The Way of Water… It’s good, folks! Really good. Early reactors are calling it “mind-blowing,” “breathtaking,” a “never-ending visual spectacle.” They’re saying James Cameron is back and we should have never doubted him. Uproxx’s Mike Ryan tweeted, “It’s overwhelming. Maybe too overwhelming. Sometimes I’d miss plot points because I’m staring at a Pandora fish,” and continued “Someone texted me, ‘what’s the most visually impressive part of the movie?’ And I responded, ‘The whole thing honestly.’” Not only are they saying it’s visually unprecedented, but that Cameron delivers the emotions as well.
