Godzilla Minus One becomes first movie ever to top Netflix and iTunes charts at the same time… Another day, another record for Godzilla Minus One. And this comes after the movie surprise released on Netflix and iTunes on Saturday in the U.S. So it broke that records without any previous publicity. Amazing. The Japanese film, which cost $15M and made $115M at the box office, also became the first Godzilla movie to ever win an Oscar, taking home the VFX trophy back in March. 🦎
The Maude abortion episode couldn’t air today, Norman Lear tried and was rejected… The late mega producer apparently wanted Maude’s Dilemma to be one of the episodes they remade as part of the ABC specials Live in Front of a Studio Audience back in 2019 and 2021. But ABC said no. Guess the U.S. is not as progressive now as we were in the 1970s. 🤔
Elle Fanning to star in new Predator standalone film Badlands… From director Dan Trachtenberg who did the previous Predator prequel, Prey, which was fantastic. So I’m looking forward to this. 👽
Evangeline Lilly is retiring from acting… At least temporarily. What’s wild is that she shared a video from 2006 in which she said in 10 years she hoped to be retired from acting. So, good for her! ⌚️
