How big will House of Dragon be?… More then 44 million Americans watched the Game of Thrones finale, but it’s been hard to read the room on House of Dragon (which premieres this Sunday). Stakes are high, as Joe Adalian reports. HBO spent nearly $200M on this show and are hoping it keeps the GoT franchise afloat. Adalian interviewed HBO chief Casey Bloys and writes that no one is expecting Dragon to pull in GoT final season numbers, but that execs are hopeful it’s on par with Euphoria (13M across all platforms). If it’s below 5M, it will “be a disaster.” Are people aware and appropriately amped to return to Westeros? The Dragons marketing campaign has reportedly been “one of [HBO’s] biggest,” and data shows more people than ever are rewatching GoT.
