Rowling is addressing the backlash against her in a new deep-dive podcast from right-leaning org The Free Press… I mean, good for them for getting such a big exclusive, sit-down with the controversial author, but I don’t expect it to hold her feet to the fire much. Already, JKR’s soundbite in the trailer is revealing that while the author “never set out to upset anyone,” she’s not exactly remorseful. Instead she seems more interested in how people reacted and “misunderstood” her. Should be a fascinating listen, but whether you’re still in her camp or despise her, I hardly expect this to change anyone’s mind. 🤔
