Nicolas Cage to reprise noir Spider-Man in live-action Amazon series… We previously knew this show was in the works, but now we have this cool bit of cross-universe casting news. This will be Cage’s first-ever TV series role, minus one unaired pilot at the beginning of his career. The show is quote “the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.” And it should be a massive hit. 🕷️
Amazon and Apple are exploring bonus pay models for screen artists… Previously the tech companies were buying out the back-ends that talent would get from traditional film and television deals, but thanks to the writers and actors strikes, the companies are now figuring out how they will give viewership-based bonuses to the artists instead. Union action, it works. 🍎
