Meet the new SNL cast members

And cult classic in the making

• SNL adds 4 cast members, all of whom are stand up comedians… The last great stand ups to really make a splash on SNL were Pete Davidson and Leslie Jones. Now Lorne Michaels is hiring a 4-pack of comics: Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker. All of them have material readily available online if you want to peak at their talents (click the links). I’m impressed so far, and appreciate the show only hiring one white guy, but stand ups sometimes have a hard time integrating into SNL’s character and sketch based world. Any one of them could be the next Adam Sandler or Eddie Murphy — or the next Aristotle Athari. That’s the beauty of Saturday Night Live. If nothing else, I’m sure we’ll get some fun Update bits from this crew this season. 🎤
