What to know

• Is Josh Gad making Spaceballs 2?… Seems like it per Gad’s not-so-subtle tease on social media. He says the script, which he wrote with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, “may be the funniest and best thing I've ever worked on.” And he was in The Book of Mormon. /Film is speculating that Josh Greenbaum is directing. Greenbaum made Strays and Barb and Star, both hilarious movies. So if this is indeed a Spaceballs sequel, it’s in good hands. Let’s hope it’s as funny as Gad says it is. 🍕

• Euphoria season 3 might actually be happening… It’s allegedly shooting later this year or next and will include its “core cast,” which is surprising considering most of them are now major movie stars. There will also be a time jump, which is smart. I will watch more Euphoria whenever it airs, and fully expect Zendaya to win the Emmy again. 😮

• Furiosa could lose around $200M for WB… The movie had a budget of $168M and World of Reel is skeptical it will even get to $200M in ticket sales. The movie rumor site says Furiosa needed to make $420M to break even. So yeah, big losses on the way, which is a shame because the movie is pretty good. 💸

• Taylor Swift is not in Deadpool & Wolverine… Despite the fact that the movie’s new IMAX poster has the title characters wearing friendship bracelets. I guess it’s just another 4th wall break. 🤷🏻

• Tokyo Vice canceled at Max… So now the question is, will Ansel Elgort — who was accused of sexual assault and predatory online behavior in 2021 — get more jobs after this? ❌

• The Boys is ending with season 5… I’m surprised but happy Amazon is letting Eric Kripke end this massively popular show on his terms. 👍

• Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman returning for Practical Magic sequel… A movie I guess people have nostalgia for? I mostly forgot it existed until now. 2️⃣

• Kristen Stewart to play Sally Ride in Amazon limited series… Get the tissues. 👩🏻‍🚀

• Paul Giamatti to play villain in new Star Trek series… Nice! 🌌
