• DC chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran look to “tell one great overarching story”… Safran continued, “One beautiful big story across film, television gaming, live-action, and animation.” Sounds ambitious as hell, perhaps even more so than the Marvel cinematic universe which is restricted to just TV and film at the moment. It will be very impressive if they can pull off such a cross-media shared universe, especially when DC’s last attempt to build a mega team-up didn’t go so well — not to mention the brand’s several siloed universes (The Batman, Joker: Folie a Deux, Black Adam, etc). I’d guess a unifying multiverse storyline is on the table, perhaps connected via an adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths? 🤔
