• Alec Baldwin and the producers of Rust have settled with Halyna Hutchins’ family, film will resume production… That might be an awkward first day back on set. Joel Souza will continue as director of the film and interestingly Hutchins’ widower Matthew Hutchins will be an executive producer on the project (as determined in the settlement). Hutchins said in a statement, “I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.” I do appreciate this view on the matter, as an opportunity to complete and release Halyna’s last work, but it’s still a little surprising and jarring that the movie will continue. Up to 4 people could still face criminal charges, including Baldwin. 🎥
