SAG-studios talks hit “rocky” patch, pause in negotiations likely… Uh oh. With the writers strike finished, it seemed like the actors and studios would resolve quickly, but now we’re hearing that it was a bit tense in Wednesday negotiations and that the two parties are far apart on revenue sharing and AI. Hopefully this hiatus is brief and the talks can continue soon. The town basically shuts down from Thanksgiving to January, so it would be a huge bummer to see the actors strike roll on into 2024. 🪧
The Eras Tour debuts in theaters one day early… You can now see Taylor Swift’s concert movie today (Thursday) if tickets are even still available. Previously there were no Thursday night preview shows, which was odd to me considering nearly every movie these days starts on Thursday evening. I guess Swift and AMC realized they were leaving money on the table. God forbid. 🎸
Reviews for The Eras Tour are all raves… I’m not surprised, there’s a reason Taylor Swift has become as popular as she is. It’s because she’s very good at what she does. The question is will good reviews get non-Taylor fans out to see the concert film? Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be a huge hit thanks to her fanbase alone — but I wonder what crossover appeal the movie might have? 👏
