So why then is the president of the actors’ union out at fashion events in Italy? Everyone is entitled to their weekends, but the optics of Drescher attending these events as the important deadline looms is not great. There’s a lot at stake for the actors in the long run and even more at stake for the entire industry (and all the people that work in it) in the short run.
