What to know

  • UK safety watchdog investigated Squid Game: The Challenge set, issued guidance… If you haven’t been following it, the reports out of the Squid Game reality show set in London have been pretty alarming. Players were allegedly subject to freezing temperatures for 9 hours while shooting the “Red Light, Green Light” sequence. One said he “suffered a herniated disc and a torn knee tendon,” another said they developed “pneumonia and an ear infection,” and there were even reports of a woman “convulsing on the floor.” We’re now learning that Britain’s Health and Safety Executive did look into the incident, and while it didn’t take any punitive action, it did suggest producers, “plan properly for any risks.” How very helpful. 🦑
