• Owen Gleiberman: “Superhero fatigue is real. The cure? Make better movies than The Flash”… Gleiberman nailed it. We have reached an inflection point, it’s obvious to see. Critics and audiences are no longer putting up with inferior superhero product. “Every genre gets old … The big splashy Hollywood musical was a form that once seemed eternal… until it wasn’t.” But the Variety critic also identifies that good superhero movies can still break through (Across the Spider-Verse, Guardians 3) and the studios will have to work twice as hard to make these movies special. The sad thing is, for the most part right now they don’t seem to be doing that. 🦸🏻‍♀️
