What to know
Record labels are changing their contracts because of Taylor Swift… The major labels are trying to get artists to sign agreements that would prevent them from re-recording songs for up to 30 years. Obviously this is in response to Taylor Swift’s new versions of her old music, which have proved quite successful. If I was about to sign a major record deal, I’d probably not want to agree to that. 🎸
Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster to replace Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford in Sweeney Todd on Broadway… I guess if you’re going to get anybody, those are too pretty good people to get. 💈
Oppenheimer is heading back to IMAX theaters… Nolan will have his billion-dollar movie, dangit! 💣
