Trailer mania: The first Beetlejuice Beetlejuice trailer is here. It’s fine and shows basically nothing from the movie. House of the Dragon season 2 dropped two trailers to highlight the war between Rhaenyra and Alicent. Never a dull moment in Westeros. We got a trailer for Alien: Romulus, which is promising to bring the franchise back to some of its tangible roots. There’s a trailer for the Harold and the Purple Crayon movie starring Zach Levi. Harold is an adult in this for some reason. Conan O’Brien is traveling the world in the Conan O’Brien Must Go trailer. And lastly, we got our first look at the new Star Wars show The Acolyte, which is finally taking the series out of the Skywalker timeline. 😮
New film adaptations of The Neverending Story are in the works… At first I was like “why does this need a reboot?” but then I was like “eh, who cares,” and then I saw that See-Saw Films is making them and they do Slow Horses, and produced The King’s Speech and Power of the Dog, so maybe this could be good? 🤷🏻
Sopranos creator David Chase making a horror movie… With longtime collaborator Terence Winter. While this might come as a surprise, The Sopranos often used horror elements and Chase actually wrote a horror movie back in the '‘70s. I’m definitely intrigued. 🎬
Margot Robbie producing Sims movie… Video games, they make movies! But if anyone knows their way around playthings meant to represent real people, it’s Margot Robbie. ♢
Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery returning for new Boondock Saints… People used to love Boondock Saints but I feel like its popularity has waned in the years since. ↪️
