• Elemental lands Pixar’s lowest Tomato score for an original film… Is the Pixar magic evaporating? You really hate to see this, especially from a studio with such a high pedigree. It’s currently sitting at 64% off 11 reviews. The movie hits June 16, so that number could go up (or down) when more critics weigh in. As of now though, it’s lower than Lightyear (74%) and The Good Dinosaur (75%), a movie made by Pixar that does actually exist, I saw it in theaters on Black Friday 2015. Considering Elemental is tracking pretty low, Disney can’t be happy with this lukewarm reception. I’m still planning to see Elemental, it looks beautiful and Pixar has earned my attention at this point — despite the misses. 🔥
