Yellowstone crisis: TV’s no. 1 drama might end this summer… Paramount Network surely doesn’t want to kill its golden goose, but star Kevin Costner is allegedly demanding a one-week shooting schedule for the 8 remaining episodes of season 5, and that’s causing a host of issues within the production. Rather than capitulate, Paramount is considering outright ending the flagship series and shifting focus to a new Matthew McConaughey-led spinoff, that alongside the other Yellowstone spinoffs, would be available on Paramount+. Yellowstone itself streams on Peacock post cable, so ending the main series, while a drastic measure, would solve that problem for Paramount. Plus, McConaughey?! Never doubt Taylor Sheridan’s ability to attract massive stars to his projects. 😮
