'Twilight' pulls a 'Potter'

And Netflix preps U.S. crackdown

• Twilight TV series in the works… It seems Harry Potter isn’t the only massive 2000s YA fantasy series getting a TV redo. It makes obvious sense why Lionsgate would be back to the well in the same exact way as Warner Bros is with Potter (though this project has probably been the works for a while). But Twilight has not had the staying power of Potter and I really do wonder if its original fans and new ones will turn out like they once did. Twilight was massive back in the day, so Lionsgate would be foolish not to try — and this gives them a 2nd chance at fixing the disasters that were those later movies. The Hunger Games is getting a theatrical prequel this year, but one has to wonder now if a Panem TV show isn’t far behind as well. 🧛
