• Why hasn’t Wednesday been renewed yet?… The Addams Family spinoff fast became one of Netflix’s biggest hits of all times, so you’d figure the streamer would be quick to announce another season or three. So far, it’s radio silence. Vulture reports that despite some speculation of the show jumping to Amazon (because it’s made by MGM), Wednesday will likely remain on Netflix and the two companies are probably working out a deal for its continuation. Yes, it will probably be renewed eventually. Still, if I was a Wednesday fan—which I’m not because I don’t think the show is very good, but that’s a separate issue—I’d be wondering what’s taking so long and why one Netflix exec is merely “optimistic” at the prospect of more episodes. 🍿
